Century Composits.
Through the Hallam Free Lancers service on UniHub, I went through an online training course which taught me the ins and outs of freelance design including; How to apply for freelance jobs, Pricing, client relations, How to draw up and invoice, Our rights and copyright. I was asked to design clothing hang tags for the upcoming clothing they have coming out for thier fishing gear. I designed 7 tags in total, 4 tags for each item of clothing in 2 colours.
Once I was confirmed for the job I had to meet the client to recieve and discuss the brief so I knew exactly what needed doing. He explained the sizes he wanted along with what experience he wanted for the brand and gave me some examples of existing tags that he liked so I could use them for inspiration.
This was very valuable because in person I was able to really get a vivid idea of what he wanted and answered lot of questions I had for the brief. He later sent me the Clothing smaples, colours and the vectors of the logo so I could start designing the tags, I chose the font I though was appropiate for the brand and did a lot of background research on the company so I could get the information and feel for the brand right.
Lyrical T's.
I was approached to design 2 T-shirts for Lyrical T featuring gifts from Kapow. I designed 2 t-shirts that are featured in the store on Jameson street, Hull. I gained relevant experience working for a client, responding to a brief given to me and using feedback from the client to create a successful outcome.
T-Shirt Design.
As part of my self led briefs I used vectorised illusrations to create some interesting T-Shirts, experimenting with type and colour schemes to create aesthetically striking designs.
Other Illustrations.
In my free time I set myslef a brief to play around with illustrations to create interesting deisgns that would work in a poster format.
